Scheduling. 24 hours' notice to cancel or reschedule; inside that it's 25% of the groom, and a no-show is 50%. Arriving 15 minutes late is a $15 fee; past 20 minutes the appointment is cancelled at 25%. Pickup more than 20 minutes after the completion call may be $15. Pricing. Prices depend on breed, size, coat condition, and behavior. Severe matting can cost extra, and Ashlyn will discuss any added charge with me before it goes on my bill. Matting. If my dog's coat can't be brushed out safely, clipping it shorter may be the kindest option. Dematting and close clipping carry a risk of irritation or small nicks, and skin issues hidden under mats sometimes only appear once they're removed. Health & safety. Way of the Dog Grooming is not liable for pre-existing conditions found during grooming, or for accidents despite every precaution taken. In an emergency, if I can't be reached, I authorize Ashlyn to seek veterinary care at my expense. Behavior. If my dog becomes too stressed to continue safely, grooming stops. I'm charged only for the work completed, and there is no handling fee.
